Introduction

The research of Catalysis & Energy Materials (CEM) direction focuses on the basic research in cutting edge field of chemical engineering, energy and catalysis and also the demanding of national strategy. The research area includes the conversion and application of sustainable clean energy and fossil resources, fundamental in catalysis, reaction process simulation, in situ catalyst characterization etc. The main research effort of CEM is the substitutions/efficient applications of conventional metal based catalysts (especially noble or toxic metal or metal oxides), and the main research characteristic is the catalytic applications of nano- carbon, carbon nitride or boron nitride etc. The persistent research strategy is from revealing the physical-chemical nature of catalytic process and structure-function relations to rational design, fabrications and potential applications of novel efficient catalytic systems.
