Prof. WANG Jingyang, Head of the Advanced Ceramics and Composites Division at the Shenyang National Laboratory for Materials Science (SYNL). Recently, he has been awarded as a fellow of the American Ceramic Society.
Prof. Wang's research fields are focused on fundamental understanding and technological developments of ceramics and composites for extreme environment applications. Prof. Wang has delivered more than 70 plenary/keynote/invited lectures in international conferences. He received many prestigious recognitions and awards, including Academician of Word Academy of Ceramics (WAC, 2017), ACerS Global Ambassador Award (2017), Acta Materialia Silver Medal Award (2016), ASM-IIM Visiting Lectureship Award (2016), Late Shri Sardar Pratap Singh Memorial Award (2015), JACerS Loyalty Recognition Award (2014), Global Star Award of ACerS ECD (2012); and National Leading Talent for Science and Technology Innovation (Ten Thousand Talent Program of China, 2018), Outstanding Talent Recognition of Municipal Government (China, 2018), Distinguished Professor of CAS (China, 2016), National Leading Talent of Young and Middle-aged Scientists (China, 2015), Top 100/1000 Talents Program of Provincial Government (China, 2015/2011), National/Ministry Science and Technology Progress Award (China, 2011/2010) and Provincial Natural Sciences Award (China, 2005).
He serves/served as a Board of Director of ACerS (2018-2021), Chair of Engineering Ceramics Division of ACerS (2017-2018), Chair of John Jeppson Award Committee of ACerS (2017-2018), Committee Member of Geijsbeek PACRIM International Award, President of WAC Forum Committee, Member of International Advisory Board of the European Ceramic Society, and some committee members of ACerS, ASM International, Chinese Ceramic Society, Chinese Materials Research Society, and Chinese Physical Society. He is currently the Deputy Editor-in-Chief of J. Inorganic Mater., Executive Editor of JMST, and Editor of JMEP, Sci. Rep., and CMT.
