ZHANG Jie, research scientist from Advanced Ceramics and Composites Division of Shenyang National Laboratory for Materials Science (SYNL), was awarded as the 2021 ICACC Global Star on the 45th International Conference and Exposition on Advanced Ceramics and Composites from Feb. 8th-11th, 2021.
Prof. Zhang was awarded for her great contribution to the development of advanced ceramics and composites. Her research focuses advanced ceramic coatings and materials under extreme conditions. She has been internationally recognized for her contribution to innovative technology in the integrated design and development ceramic coating of accident-tolerant fuel in Light Water Reactors. As an ACerS member, she actively participates in ECD activities as session chair, symposium organizer and poster judge on ICACC conferences, mentoring the ACerS GGRN members.
The International Conference and Exposition on Advanced Ceramics and Composites has a strong history of being the preeminent international meeting on advanced structural and functional ceramics, composites, and other emerging ceramic materials and technologies. This year’s conference took the form of virtual meeting welcomed over 800 attendees from 41 countries to participate. Five researchers from China, the United States, the Republic of Korea, India and Belgium won the 2021 ICACC Global Star Awards.
