Our research focuses mainly on developing high-performance structural materials such as advanced high strength steel, Mg alloy and high entropy alloy for potential applications in automotive, aerospace and nuclear power plant. Fundamental research on microstructure-property relationship as well as phase transformation in these structural materials are investigated by experiments and multi-scale modelling. Applied research is carried out by close collaboration with industry in China, Europe and USA.
