The research of nanoporous metals is focus on dealloying and dealloyed nanoporous materials, particularly the impact of nanoscale pores and free surface on mechanical responses, physical and chemical properties of nanoscale. The goal is to understand the formation mechanism, thermal and mechanical stability of nanoporous metals, develop advanced nanoporous materials with high mechanical performance, and explore surface-controlled novel functionalities and applications that cannot be matched by fully solid materials and conventional foam materials.
